
About this role
We’re looking for motivated, engaged people to help make everyone’s journeys better. Gate Service Drivers are responsible for driving a specialized catering vehicle on the airport ramp to provide catering services to airline customers in a timely manner. They must follow all safety procedures when loading and unloading equipment into the warehouse, carts, and aircraft.
Manage and deliver multiple tasks within assigned deadlines. Complete paperwork accurately. Communicate by radio to supervisors and dispatchers throughout shifts.
Work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime when mandated. Arrive to work on-time and in uniform. Function as a member of a team on the busy ramp.
Be exposed to utmost temperature changes and noise. Work up to ten feet in the air while handling equipment. Lift, push, pull, and move items up to fifty pounds during 8+ hour shifts.
Demonstrate competencies in thinking for problem resolution, engaging for team leadership, inspiring through effective communication, and achieving results under pressure. Union position with $23.65/hr pay. Equal Opportunity Employer offering reasonable accommodations.
Requirements
- Current driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Complete mandatory Driving Test and AOA training at the airport
- Be able to work up to ten feet in the air
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty pounds
- Regularly stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours
- Be exposed to utmost temperature changes and noise
