About this role
The Cargo Handler is responsible for loading and unloading freight on trailers in a safe and timely manner. Frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of freight is required.
Daily duties include accurately staging and auditing next day routes, moving freight within the warehouse, and checking in and unloading appliances from carriers. You will also verify documentation and condition of freight to assure quality standards are met.
This role requires schedule flexibility, including weekends, overtime, and acting as backup for Admin as needed. The work environment is fast-paced and demands the ability to follow directions and organize duties while multi-tasking.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; post high school education a plus
- 1-2 years prior warehouse experience
- Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without calculator
- Basic written and communication skills along with strong customer service skills
- Previous experience with RF scanners and computer data entry systems for tracking inventory preferred
- Ability to work, follow directions, and organize duties in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
- Must be certified to drive fork truck
- Schedule flexibility: ability to work weekends, overtime, and during events as needed
Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight on trailers in a safe and timely manner

- Move freight within the warehouse as needed
- Check in and unload appliances from appliance carriers
- Verify documentation and condition of freight to assure quality standards are met
- Correctly label boxes and prepare freight for shipment as required
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned
- Act as backup for Admin as needed
