Fleet Service Clerks perform the handling of items on and off aircraft, carts, containers, and trucks; transporting items between terminals and aircraft; and receiving, delivering, weighing and documenting of cargo.

Work outdoors in various weather conditions driving belt loaders, towing and pushback aircraft from gates, and servicing aircraft at gates with ground power and air conditioning while following all safety procedures.

The terms and conditions of this position are covered by the Transport Workers Union Collective Bargaining Agreement, giving you the chance to grow your expertise in airport ground operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or international equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Lift, load, unload, and transport bags and cargo to/from aircraft, bag carts, and conveyor belts
  • Must have knowledge of and ability to use basic computer skills
  • People-oriented and highly motivated with a positive and cooperative attitude
  • Work shifts that include irregular and/or extended hours, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Move baggage and cargo of various weights to and from aircraft
  • Drive and operate belt loaders
  • Service aircraft at gates with ground power and air conditioning
  • Tow and pushback aircraft from gates
  • Service aircraft lavatories and water ports
  • Clean interior of aircraft when needed
  • Position beverage and luggage carts around the ramp area
  • Report to position on time as scheduled including mandatory overtime requirements, varying shifts, weekends, and holidays
