The Ramp Agent plays a vital role in ensuring top tier performance in all aspects of baggage handling. They exceed customer expectations while upholding the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and teamwork with a strong commitment to company policies and procedures.

Work involves comfortably and continuously lifting and moving 70 lbs of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft. Agents transport items between aircraft, airport terminals and air cargo facilities while operating motorized equipment in all weather conditions.

You will have responsibility to take reasonable care of health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and others. The company enforces a Substance Misuse Policy with regular testing and is committed to providing a safe working environment for all staff.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have high school diploma, GED or six months prior ramp agent work experience
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing, including a drug test
  • Capable of safely lifting up to 70 lbs continuously
  • Must be able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English
  • Must have current driver’s license with no violations over the past 5 years
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including overtime, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Custom badges/seals

Responsibilities

  • Comfortably and continuously lift and move 70 lbs of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft
  • Transport baggage and cargo between aircraft, airport terminals and air cargo facilities
  • Perform frequent bending, stretching, push/pulling, stacking and kneeling in small confined locations
  • Operate motorized equipment
  • Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags
  • Perform other duties as assigned
