Team members operate heavy motorized equipment including pushback tugs, belt loaders, and deicers while maintaining strict visual contact with wing walkers. They also move baggage, cargo, and mail between aircraft and terminal facilities in all weather conditions.

Requirements

  • Be on time, be prepared, and be safe while working flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Complete all training required by company, airport governing authority, or customer.
  • Take reasonable care for the health, wellbeing, safety, and security of yourself and others.
  • Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, or dangerous occurrences to your manager or supervisor.
  • Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided for health, safety, and security.

Responsibilities

  • Guide inbound and outbound airplanes to and from the gate.
  • Transport, lift, load, unload, sort and transfer passenger baggage, cargo, and mail in and out of aircraft bins in a safe manner.
  • Safeguard customer baggage, air cargo, and airmail from weather, loss, theft, damage or destruction.
  • Clean aircraft passenger cabins between flights and stock aircraft with needed supplies.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as pushback tugs while maintaining visual contact with wing walkers.
  • Operate motorized equipment including belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks, bag carts, lavatory carts, and deicers.
  • Receive, record, pick up, and deliver customer baggage, air freight, mail, and company materials to and from aircraft.
  • Complete all required training and follow company procedures to ensure safe and responsible operations at all times.
