About this role
Since 1833, Menzies Aviation has developed into a critical partner in global aviation, delivering time-critical logistics at over 300 locations across 65 countries. The Customer Service Agent will be responsible for checking in passengers for flights at the ticket counter and gates.
Day-to-day duties include assisting passengers with check-ins, verifying documentation, and providing gate information. Host self-service kiosks, verify documents prior to boarding, and interpret identification labels for baggage and cargo routing. Ensure work areas are organized and functional, and make announcements at the gate.
You must adhere to Menzies Aviation uniform guidelines and codes of conduct. You have a responsibility to take reasonable care of health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and others. The company prohibits misuse of alcohol and drugs and carries out regular testing to enforce its Substance Misuse Policy.

Requirements
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Computer skills required as you will be using computer-based systems to perform primary job functions.
- Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English with excellent communication skills.
- Must have a positive, can-do, upbeat personality, able to remain calm under pressure.
- Able to stand for long periods of time at the ticket counter and gate check-in.
Responsibilities
- Assist passengers with check-ins, verification, gate information, baggage claims and any other passenger issues in the airport.
- Host self-service kiosks and verify passengers’ documents prior to boarding aircraft.
- Interpret identification labels along with baggage and cargo routing.
- Ensure that all work areas are organized and functional (check-in, lobby, gate, baggage).
- Make announcements, check baggage, and assign seats at the gate area.
- Adhere to Menzies Aviation uniform guidelines and codes of conduct.
- Take reasonable care of the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and others in accordance with provided information and training.
