About this role
This role directs and coordinates route operations during a failure of the SkyConnect Train service at Tampa International Airport, ensuring ground transportation is organized quickly, safely, and efficiently between the SkyCenter and main terminal. The Supervisor works in compliance with client and Airport Operations procedures as well as ABM company policies.
Day-to-day responsibilities include tracking and reporting the status of operations, communicating effectively with Bus Operators, Traffic Control, and on-site airport personnel. The Supervisor monitors radio and telephone communications, dispatches drivers and vehicles to meet transportation demands, and handles any issues or incidents that arise during transport.
This position is based in the Airport Operations Center (AOC) and involves daily interaction with ABM Supervisors, AOC personnel, and Emergency Operations Center (EOC) staff. During defined emergency events, the Supervisor plays a critical role in resource organization and real-time coordination across multiple teams.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of Supervisor experience required
- Two years of Customer Service experience required
- Two years of Commercial Driving experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using computers and common software applications required
Responsibilities
- Gather and document passenger loads at route terminus, timeliness of transportation, vehicle availability, and special instructions
- Coordinate and dispatch drivers and vehicles to meet transportation demands efficiently
- Monitor vehicle locations and provide accurate, timely updates to clients regarding estimated arrival times
- Handle any issues or incidents during transportation, ensuring prompt resolution
- Maintain accurate records of calls, vehicle movement, and arrival and departure times
- Monitor radio, telephones, and on-road service provision for quality
- Participate in analysis and review of operating performance
- Weekly rotate COBUS vehicles between locations
