Do you enjoy working outdoors in a fast-paced, safety-obsessed aviation environment? As a Ramp Agent, you will be essential in ensuring that flights run on time by providing efficient ground support services at the airport.

Daily work involves guiding aircraft to and from gates, handling baggage and cargo safely, and operating equipment such as belt loaders, pushback tugs, and deicers. Agents also clean cabins and manage supplies between flights to keep operations moving.

Requirements

  • Take reasonable care for the health, wellbeing, safety, and security of themselves and others who may be affected by their actions.
  • Cooperate with manager or supervisor to comply with any legal requirements imposed on the company.
  • Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to manager or supervisor.
  • Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific health, safety, and security requirements.
  • Be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Complete all training required by company, airport governing authority, or customer.

Responsibilities

  • Guide inbound and outbound airplanes to and from the gate.
  • Transport, lift, load, unload, sort and transfer passenger baggage, cargo, and mail material in and out of aircraft bins in a safe manner.
  • Safeguard customer baggage, air cargo, and airmail from weather, loss, theft, damage or destruction.
  • Clean aircraft passenger cabins between flights and stock aircraft with needed supplies.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as pushback equipment while maintaining visual contact with Wing Walkers.
  • Operate motorized equipment including belt loaders, lift trucks, push back tugs, and deicers to move luggage and cargo.
  • Complete paperwork and forms connected with work assignments and enter data into the company's information system as required.
