This part-time opportunity generally involves working 32 hours over 5 days, with schedules determined in accordance with a seniority-based bidding process. New hires complete 4-6 weeks of training consisting of 8-hour classroom or on-the-job instruction.

Requirements

Must be a current resident of the State of Ohio.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.
Capability to lift and move heavy items, up to 70 pounds, on a regular basis.
Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a driver's permit for ground equipment operation.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Willingness to complete 4-6 weeks of training (classroom and on-the-job).
Must not have been interviewed and not selected for the Ramp Agent position at CMH within the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

Guide aircraft into and out of parking positions using hand signals or marshaling wands.
Safely load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail from aircraft.
Operate ground support equipment such as belt loaders, tugs, and baggage carts.
Perform aircraft de-icing and anti-icing operations during cold weather conditions.
Secure cargo and baggage to ensure compliance with weight and balance requirements.
Assist with aircraft pushback and towing procedures.
Inspect ramp area for safety hazards and maintain cleanliness.
