
About this role
Menzies Aviation is seeking a full-time diligent Ramp Agent to join our Team. Since 1833, our teams have been driven by people, passion, and pride, and we have developed to become a critical partner in the global aviation industry.
As a Ramp Agent, you will play an important role in ensuring that flights run on time by maintaining detailed records of shipped goods, moving baggage and cargo from aircraft, and guiding aircraft to and from their gates. You will comfortably and continuously lift and move 70 lbs. of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft, transporting it between aircraft, airport terminals, and air cargo facilities.
This role involves frequent bending, stretching, push/pulling, stacking, and kneeling in small, confined locations. You will also operate motorized equipment and read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, and aircraft loading manifests.

Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have high school diploma, GED, or six months prior ramp agent work experience
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing, including a drug test
- Capable of safely lifting up to 70 lbs. continuously
- Must be able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English
- Must have a current driver's license with no violations over the past 5 years
- Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including overtime, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Custom badges/seals
Responsibilities
- Comfortably and continuously lift/move 70 lbs. of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft
- Transport cargo and baggage between aircraft, airport terminals, and air cargo facilities
- Frequent bending, stretching, push/pulling, stacking, and kneeling in small, confined locations
- Operate motorized equipment
- Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags
- Guide aircraft to and from their gates
- Maintain detailed records of shipped goods
- Perform other duties as assigned
Benefits
- Pay: $16.00 hourly
- Work is done primarily outdoors
