About this role
The Cargo Handler II loads and unloads freight on trailers in a safe and timely manner. Frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of freight is required throughout each shift. Accurate staging and auditing of next day routes supports daily warehouse operations.
Daily work includes verifying documentation and condition of freight to assure quality standards are met. Workers label boxes and prepare freight for shipment as required. They also check in and unload appliances from carriers while moving freight within the warehouse.
The role operates in a fast-paced warehouse environment focused on maintaining a positive, professional, and safe work area. Team members use RF scanners and computer data entry systems to track inventory and complete required documentation.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without calculator
- Basic written and communication skills along with strong customer service skills
- Previous experience with RF scanners and computer data entry systems preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
- Ability to verify documentation and condition of freight
- 1-2 years prior warehouse experience
- Must be certified to drive fork truck
