The Airport Operations Coordinator ensures passengers receive necessary welfare during disruptions based on local requirements. They coordinate with external disruption management providers and support Ground Handlers in operational matters.

Oversee disruption management, assist in proactive avoidance of EC261, and handle communication and follow-up on flight disruptions per EU261/2004 regulations. Notify Ground Handling Companies and Hotel/Transportation providers of possible disruptions. Liaise with duty managers, track disruptions in internal systems, and lead On Duty Agents.

Monitor operational messages and delay codes outside disruptions, follow up with non-complying stations, and manage aircraft type changes. Attend Disruption Control Centre Team meeting, Daily Operations Control meeting, and daily third-party HOTAC & GT provider meeting. Authorize hotel amenities and free rebookings during disruptions.

Requirements

  • 1-3+ years working experience
  • Computer proficiency
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Flexible approach and ability to remain diplomatic
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work in 12-hour shifts
  • People management skills
