As an Airport Security Officer in Kahului, HI, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and airport facilities. Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
  • 21+ years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
  • Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in accordance with DOT requirements)
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government airport location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate airport and/or public agency resources as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, concourses, parking areas, access roads, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access to restricted areas by monitoring entry points, checking credentials as required, and directing individuals to the appropriate screening and/or authorization process.
  • Complete patrol and incident documentation, communicate observations to Allied Universal supervisors and site contacts, and support crowd management during peak travel periods and/or special events.
