About this role

We are seeking an Airport Operations and Security Lead (OSL) to support the safe, secure, and efficient daily operations of the airport terminal and surrounding facilities. This high-responsibility leadership role coordinates communication between tenants, stakeholders, and emergency services. It ensures airport safety, operational continuity, and exceptional customer service.

Maintain and coordinate communication between airport tenants, partners, and stakeholders for smooth day-to-day operations. Provide real-time updates during incidents while delegating to security teams. Manage key programs including Gate Management, Irregular Operations, Snow Desk, Apron Management Plan, and Parking operations.

Implement and enforce security protocols to protect passengers, staff, tenants, and facilities. Respond to safety, security, and operational emergencies, assisting first responders and liaising with law enforcement. Act as Chief Emergency Warden during ATB evacuations and support the RAA Emergency Response Plan.

Monitor critical systems like passenger bridges, baggage handling, security infrastructure, and parking systems. Build professional relationships with tenants, collaborate with airport departments, and deliver exceptional customer service. Identify operational improvements from feedback in a dynamic environment.

Receive accelerated paid training to achieve OSL designation plus continuous GardaWorld training. Work a flexible schedule with on-call availability in a fast-paced airport setting. Prepare for leadership through ongoing development and real-world incident management.

  • Successful completion of all required training levels for OSL designation
  • Availability for flexible schedule with on-call duties
  • Knowledge of airport security protocols and business continuity plans
  • Familiarity with emergency response coordination and aviation partnerships
  • Proficiency in overseeing CCTV, alarms, and access control systems

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate communication between airport tenants, partners, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
  • Provide real-time operational updates during incidents and delegate tasks to security teams
  • Manage key operational programs including Gate Management, Irregular Operations, Snow Desk operations, Apron Management Plan, and Parking and Ground Transportation
  • Implement and enforce airport security protocols to protect passengers, staff, tenants, and facilities
  • Respond to safety, security, and operational emergencies and assist first responders
  • Act as Chief Emergency Warden during ATB evacuations
  • Monitor and oversee critical airport systems including passenger bridges, baggage handling, security infrastructure, and parking systems
  • Conduct daily audits of contractor keys, passes, and airside escort requirements
