About this role
The Airport Operations Supervisor leads, develops, and maintains strategic relationships with JetBlue crewmembers, internal departments, and customers. This role directly oversees and supports crewmembers responsible for safely performing all processes above the wing, including customer check-in, baggage acceptance, boarding, and irregular operations.
Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring safety and security programs, resolving escalated customer and crewmember issues, and briefing teams prior to each shift. The Supervisor strategically identifies operational challenges and implements improvements to maximize on-time performance initiatives.
This leadership role collaborates closely with station Managers to execute the operational strategy, control costs, drive revenue, and uphold safety standards. The Supervisor also assumes Manager or General Manager responsibilities when those leaders are not available, directing crewmembers through operational issues while coordinating with stakeholders and business partners.

Requirements
- Ability to obtain and stay current on Airport and/or Ground Operations qualifications as required
- Ensure policies and procedures are conducted in accordance with System Airports Performance and Quality (SAPQ) and applicable federal regulations and standards
- Accountability to senior leadership for monitoring safety and security programs and meeting federal and local requirements
- Experience leading and overseeing the delivery of hospitality and service to internal and external customers
- Ability to resolve escalated customer and crewmember issues effectively
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills to support crewmember development and engagement
- Capability to brief teams, report shift information, and coordinate with stakeholders during operational issues
Responsibilities
- Monitor and execute safety and security programs to ensure a safe workplace for crewmembers, customers, business partners, aircraft, facilities, and ground service equipment
- Provide exceptional service by leading the delivery of hospitality and JetBlue Promises in line with customer expectations
- Resolve and handle escalated issues with customers and crewmembers
- Support, coach, and train airport crewmembers through effective performance management and ongoing constructive feedback
- Brief airport crewmembers and business partners prior to each shift and report relevant information to the crewleader on duty
- Strategically identify operational challenges and implement improvements to maximize on-time performance initiatives
- Support management in executing the operational strategy and assume Manager or General Manager responsibilities when they are not available
- Direct and guide crewmembers through operational issues while coordinating efforts with stakeholders and business partners
