About this role

The Supervisor Station Operations supervises the daily flight schedule within station operations by ensuring consistent communication between all crewmembers and crew leaders inside and outside of the Operations Center. This leadership role includes System Operations, Flight Crew, Inflight, Airports, Ground Operations, Maintenance, and business partners. The position requires quick thinking, strong interpersonal communication, and in-depth knowledge of overall station operations.

Daily duties involve utilizing Gate Management Systems to formulate gate plots considering fleet type, aircraft swaps, customer connections, minimum ground time, gate constraints, and tow considerations. Communicate crucial information like gate changes, swaps, maintenance issues, and delays to all operational departments and stakeholders. Ensure timely aircraft moves with the Aircraft Ground Repositioning team and assist in root cause analysis for delays.

Oversee irregular operations including safety, security, facility issues, winter operations, emergency response, and tarmac holds. Monitor radio frequencies, set up international arrivals coordinating with U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Airport Authority, and handle ferry and charter coordination. Accountable to Operations Managers for safely executing daily flight activity.

Supports and coaches operations crewmembers through effective performance management and constructive feedback. Directs crew through operational issues while coordinating with stakeholders for collaboration and accountability. Evaluates shift schedules for efficiency and ensures compliance with federal regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
  • Quick thinking
  • Strong interpersonal communication
  • In-depth knowledge of overall station operations
  • Familiarity with Gate Management Systems (GMS)
  • Ability to monitor radio frequencies
  • Experience coordinating with airport agencies like U.S. Customs and Border Protection

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Gate Management Systems (GMS) to formulate gate plots considering fleet type, aircraft swaps, customer connections, minimum ground time, gate constraints, and tow considerations
  • Communicate crucial information such as gate changes, aircraft swaps, maintenance issues, and delays to operational departments and stakeholders including System Operations
  • Ensure timely completion of aircraft moves working closely with the Aircraft Ground Repositioning (AGR) team
  • Oversee management and support of irregular operations (IROP) and station anomalies including safety, security, facility issues, metering, winter operations, emergency response, or tarmac holds
  • Set up international arrivals coordinating with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Airport Authority, and other agencies
  • Coach and mentor Coordinators while supporting crewmember development through performance management and feedback
  • Evaluate daily crewmember shift schedules and assignments for maximum efficiency during regular and irregular operations
