As a Ramp Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of aircraft, passengers, and cargo at Newcastle Airport.

In this hands-on, physically demanding role, you will safely and efficiently load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail from aircraft. You will also marshal aircraft to and from gates, operate ground service equipment such as tugs and belt loaders, and perform aircraft servicing tasks including cabin cleaning and water replenishment.

You will work as part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering excellence in customer service and aviation operations. The role operates on a part-time, fixed-term contract until 31 October 2026, with 30 hours per week on a shift basis, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
Must possess a valid FULL UK MANUAL driver's license
Must be able to pass a background check

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail from aircraft
Marshal aircraft to and from gates, ensuring safe and precise positioning
Operate ground service equipment, such as tugs, belt loaders, and baggage carts
Perform aircraft servicing tasks, including cabin cleaning, lavatory servicing, and water replenishment
Adhere to all safety and security procedures, including aircraft marshalling signals and hazardous material handling guidelines
Provide exceptional customer service to passengers and airline partners
