Join as a Customer Service Gate Agent in Ground Handling to assist passengers with boarding aircraft. Monitor computerized passenger boarding, help with special needs, and change flight itineraries as required.
The role involves assisting passengers in boarding and disembarking flights, operating the Jetway, and supporting customers including wheelchairs and unaccompanied minors. Change seat assignments and itineraries while working as a team to provide excellent customer service. Meet corporate objectives in a high-energy airport environment.
Work in an airport ramp setting subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels, using telephones, computers, and office equipment. Handle all shifts including weekends, nights, holidays, and irregular hours. Physical demands include frequent stooping, bending, lifting up to 70 pounds, and pushing wheelchairs.
Successful candidates complete Gate Agent training and offer opportunities to grow with a caring team. Employment contingent on driver's license, background checks, and drug screen.
Requirements
- Successful completion of Gate Agent training course
- Ability to lift seventy (70) pounds
- Ability to work all shifts including weekends, nights, holidays
- Valid driver’s license and clear driving record
- Pass 10-year Criminal History Records Check and drug screen
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask
- Minimum 18 years of age
Responsibilities
- Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking flights
- Monitor computerized passenger boarding
- Assist customers with special needs, including arranging for wheelchairs and unaccompanied minors
- Change customer flight itinerary and seat assignments as required
- Operate the Jetway
- Work as a team to provide excellent customer service and meet corporate objectives
