About this role
Unifi Aviation is seeking a part-time Airport Ramp Agent to join the team at Missoula Montana Airport. This role is essential for ensuring safe and efficient ground operations for arriving and departing aircraft.
As a Ramp Agent you will be responsible for loading and unloading baggage cargo and mail on and off aircraft. You will also handle marshaling aircraft and operating ground support equipment like tugs and belt loaders during both morning and afternoon shifts.
This position offers a fast-paced aviation environment where teamwork and attention to safety are paramount. You will work directly with flight crews and other ground personnel to meet strict departure schedules.
Unifi provides a starting base pay rate of $15.50 per hour plus a seasonal pay rate of $1.50 for a total pay of $17.00 per hour. This part-time opportunity is a great entry point into the aviation industry with potential for growth.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds frequently
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
- Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or GED required
Responsibilities
- Load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail on and off aircraft
- Operate ground support equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and bag carts
- Marshall aircraft into and out of parking positions
- Perform aircraft safety checks and secure cargo doors
- Assist with deicing operations during winter weather conditions
- Maintain clean and organized ramp and baggage areas
- Communicate with flight crews and ramp team to coordinate departures
