As a Cargo Handler, you will load and unload cargo from aircraft and ground vehicles, sort freight, and operate material handling equipment safely. Requirements
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 70 lbs repeatedly
- Capacity to stand, walk, and bend for extended shifts
- Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic proficiency with scanning and tracking technology
- Knowledge of air cargo safety and handling procedures
- Availability for shift work including nights and weekends
- Valid forklift or material handling equipment certification preferred
- Pass airport security and background screening
Responsibilities
- Load and unload cargo containers and pallets from aircraft and vehicles
- Sort and segregate freight according to routing and destination
- Operate powered industrial equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks
- Build and breakdown load devices for aircraft
- Scan and track cargo using handheld devices
- Inspect shipments for damage and report discrepancies
- Maintain safe work practices in ramp and warehouse areas
- Assist in inventory control and freight documentation
