About this role
The Cargo Handler I loads and unloads freight on trailers in a safe and timely manner. Frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of freight is required. They accurately stage and audit next day routes while performing other warehouse duties as assigned.
Daily tasks include safely loading and unloading trailers using approved equipment. Handheld scanners track freight efficiently through the network. Workers verify documentation, check freight condition, label boxes, and prepare shipments to meet quality standards.
Team members maintain a clean and safe work environment, handling tasks like cardboard recycling and demanufacturing. They recoup damaged freight when necessary and work well without direct supervision. A positive, professional demeanor is essential in this Monday-Friday shift from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
