About this role

Part-Time Ramp Agents support airport ground operations by handling baggage, cargo, and aircraft servicing for United Ground Express. This role involves physically demanding tasks to load and unload aircraft efficiently. Workers ensure compliance with FAA regulations and United policies throughout shifts.

Daily duties include lifting items up to 70 lbs, pushing or pulling loaded carts, and ascending jet-way stairs with baggage. Agents drive ground equipment like tugs, belt loaders, and bag carts to position planes and deliver baggage. They also read load sheets, baggage tags, and cargo labels accurately.

Teams operate outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions, using radio devices to communicate with coworkers and flight crew. Cleaning aircraft interiors and servicing lavatories are key tasks. Bending, stooping, and crawling in tight spaces occur frequently during cargo stacking.

Qualified candidates gain earned paid time off, discounted travel for family, and career advancement opportunities. Prepping aircraft for next flights provides hands-on aviation experience. The role demands flexibility for day, night, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
