Work at a busy airport curbside location assisting guests by checking their luggage and issuing boarding passes. Handle and secure luggage according to TSA standards while tagging bags for departing flights. Provide general information to passengers about locations, directions, and flight details.

Maintain a positive and friendly attitude in a fast-paced, high-volume guest service environment. The role requires familiarity with Safety, Security & Dangerous Goods as well as HAZMAT procedures through annual training. Uphold high level of customer service for airlines and clients Bags services.

This physically demanding job involves working outside in various weather conditions and requires on-the-job security training. Obtain all applicable airport badges to perform duties effectively. Manage payments and simple addition while organizing the concierge desk.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in the early morning rotation
  • At least 6 months experience in a face-to-face guest service position preferred
  • Data entry and/or computer experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly with guests and clients
  • Ability to work in outside weather conditions required
  • Knowledge of the airline or travel industry preferred
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment criminal background screening and drug testing

Responsibilities

  • Immediately and warmly greet guests as they approach the desk
  • Assist guests with check-in of luggage to appropriate airlines and verify flight itinerary and number of bags
  • Input guest information and process check-in including charging credit cards for bags per airline requirements
  • Weigh guests’ bags to verify weight, charge for overweight bags, and tag with destination tags
  • Provide boarding pass, luggage claim tickets, and receipt to guests
  • Secure luggage immediately upon completion of processing
  • Answer telephones and guest questions while maintaining positive, friendly manner
  • Organize and stock the concierge desk
