Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Must acquire and maintain airport credentials including fingerprint clearance and background check
  • Successful completion of pre-employment process including drug screen, hearing and vision check
  • Available to work any shift including day/night, weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Able to carry, bend, lift and turn with items weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Lift baggage, boxes, or cargo weighing up to 70 lbs. throughout shift
  • Push/pull loaded and empty carts during loading/unloading operations
  • Ascend/descend jet-way stairs while carrying baggage
  • Bend/stoop and crawl to move and stack/unstack cargo in aircraft
  • Drive ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and bag carts
  • Clean interior of aircraft and service lavatories
  • Read and interpret aircraft load sheets, baggage tags, and cargo labels
  • Ensure compliance with United and FAA regulations and policies
