Cargo Handlers/Forklift Operators load and unload freight on trailers in a safe and timely manner. Frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of freight is required, with all necessary training and materials provided.

Daily tasks include loading and unloading 53 ft. commercial trailers while operating handheld scanners to track freight through the distribution network. Accurately label boxes and prepare freight for shipment using equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Verify documentation and condition of freight to ensure quality standards.

Work in a dynamic environment maintaining a clean and safe workspace as a strong team player. Thrive amid frequent physical demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and 90 pounds occasionally. Flexibility for weekends and overtime supports operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload 53 ft. commercial trailers
  • Operate handheld scanners to track and maneuver freight through the distribution network
  • Accurately label boxes and prepare freight for shipment
  • Safely load and unload trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Obtain certification and safely operate forklift and other machinery
  • Verify documentation and condition of freight to assure quality standards
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 90 pounds
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
