Join a team dedicated to keeping the air cargo network safe as an Aviation Security Screening Operative at the UPS EMA Hub. In this part-time role, you will help protect people, customers, aircraft, and facilities by ensuring all cargo and packages meet strict aviation security standards before entering the air network.

Your day-to-day involves using X-ray and other approved screening methods to inspect packages, identify prohibited items, and prevent them from entering the cargo network. You will conduct routine equipment checks, maintain accurate records, and monitor work areas to ensure security processes are consistently followed.

Working within a fast-paced operational environment, you'll collaborate closely with colleagues to maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant operation. You will escalate any security, quality, or process concerns to supervisors promptly and adapt to regulatory updates when required.

This role offers specialist training and ongoing development in the aviation security sector. You will gain valuable experience within a global operation where safety and security are at the heart of everything we do.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with X-ray screening equipment or within a similar security-focused environment.
  • Ability to successfully pass aviation security vetting, including background and criminal record checks.
  • Ability to pass an eye test, including colour vision assessment.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying risks.
  • Sound judgement and decision-making abilities.
