About this role

A leading national security firm seeks immediate Cargo Security Screeners. Security Officer License is required for this position. Employees use screening technology to screen packages for prohibited items as well as perform equipment and record keeping duties.

Screen packages in compliance with guidelines set forth by employer and actively search for prohibited items and IEDs. This includes physical search, explosive trace detection, and X-ray screening. Training will be provided on these methods.

Calibrate and maintain screening technology while maintaining written logs of vehicles that are screened. Maintain a working knowledge of emergency procedures and alarm resolution responsibilities. Complete and provide daily logs and reports for review.

Work Monday-Friday late afternoon evening hours from 5:00pm to 9:30pm or until operations cease. Be able to work in a team or part of a group. Communicate daily with management on any new issues or changes.

Requirements

State Security Officer license is required
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
18 years of age or older
Willing to submit to a background and drug screening
Be on time and report to work in full uniform
Be proactive in knowing all revisions to post orders and general information
Ensure training and compliance guidelines are met as outlined by management
Communicate on a daily basis with management any new issues or changes
