About this role

A leading national security firm is seeking immediate package screeners to join their cargo security team. This position requires a valid State Security Officer license and involves using screening technology to inspect packages for prohibited items.

Screeners will actively search for prohibited items and IEDs using physical search, explosive trace detection, and X-ray screening methods. The role also includes calibrating and maintaining screening technology, as well as maintaining written logs of vehicles screened.

The work schedule is Monday through Friday during late afternoon and evening hours, from 5:00pm to 9:30pm or until operations cease. Screeners must be proactive in staying updated on post orders and communicate daily with management about any changes or issues.

Training is provided for all screening technologies, including X-ray and explosive trace detection. This role offers an opportunity to work in a critical security environment at a leading national firm.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and be 18 years of age or older.
Must possess a valid State Security Officer license.
Must be willing to submit to a background and drug screening where required.
Be proactive in knowing all revisions to post orders and general information.
Communicate on a daily basis with management any new issues or changes.
Ensure training and compliance guidelines are met as outlined by management.

Responsibilities

Screen packages in compliance with guidelines set forth by employer.
Actively search for prohibited items and IEDs using physical search, explosive trace detection, and X-ray screening.
Calibrate and maintain screening technology.
Maintain written logs of vehicles that are screened.
Maintain a working knowledge of emergency procedures and alarm resolution responsibilities.
Complete and provide daily logs and reports for review.
Be on time and report to work in full uniform.
