Working at an airport can be both challenging and fulfilling. You’ll witness the arrival and departure of various aircraft at DEN, the 3rd busiest airport in the United States. You will be solving problems and dispatching resources to incidents on DEN property in a very dynamic and fast paced environment.
You would be working in the Emergency Communications Center at DEN. You will be the lifeline between our customers, Airfield, Denver Fire, Terminal Ops, Security Access Controls, and more. Your quick thinking and effective communication can save lives and provide crucial assistance during emergencies.

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The target starting hourly range for this position is $31.33 to $39 per hour. External 2026 new hires are potentially eligible for up to a $2,500 sign on bonus.
Requirements
- Ability to work 100% on site at the Communications Center at Denver International Airport
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
- Readiness to support mandatory on-call snow overtime
- Capacity to handle a very dynamic and fast paced emergency communications environment
Responsibilities
- Solve problems and dispatch resources to incidents on DEN property in a dynamic environment
- Serve as the lifeline between customers, Airfield, Denver Fire, Terminal Ops, and Security Access Controls
- Handle calls and manage situations that directly impact community well-being during emergencies
- Work in the Emergency Communications Center supporting airport operations at the 3rd busiest U.S. airport
- Provide critical assistance and coordinate responses across multiple airport stakeholders
