This Security Screener role supports their canine group using SmartTech x-ray software at airport and ground-side operations.
The Security Screener inspects items with x-ray viewing equipment to identify objects requiring further investigation. They view images of bags and cargo on remote screening equipment and alert baggage screeners or handlers to possible problems. The position requires calm responses during incidents and critical situations.
Work occurs at client sites where environments and conditions may vary. Screeners provide customer service by following safety procedures and site-specific policies. Regular and random patrols of the business and perimeter are part of daily operations in this professional security setting.

Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Prior work experience in a professional security setting
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
Responsibilities
- Inspect items using x-ray viewing equipment to determine whether items contain objects that warrant further investigation
- View images of bags and cargo using remote screening equipment and alert baggage screeners or handlers to any possible problems
- Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter
- Communicate situation details to appropriate personnel
