Reporting to the Manager, Airport Operations Control, you will answer and respond to telephone calls and radio channels, handling emergency response and demand maintenance requests. You will dispatch resources, monitor airport systems and act as the central point of contact for communications. This role involves operating CAD software to track events and ensuring stakeholders stay informed.
You will work in a fast-paced operational environment at a major international airport, monitoring multiple radio channels and phone lines. Familiarity with airside, terminal and groundside layouts supports proactive issue resolution amid stressful conditions. Collaboration with GTAA resources, tenants and agencies is key to maintaining smooth operations.

Requirements
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in an operational environment, preferably aviation, emergency services or call center/dispatch
- Experience in a maintenance management environment considered an asset
- Demonstrated experience in customer service, interacting with stakeholders, multi-tasking and strong computer keyboarding skills
- Achieve minimum of 35 words per minute with 90% accuracy on keyboarding skills test
- Experience working with CAD or related software preferred
- Post-secondary school education or acceptable combination of education and experience
- Able to obtain and retain Transport Canada Security Clearance
- Knowledge of airport operations, including airside, terminal and groundside layouts, plus roles of GTAA resources, tenants and agencies
Responsibilities
- Answer and respond to telephone calls and radio channels, handling emergency response and demand maintenance requests
- Dispatch resources as required and provide status updates based on established operating procedures
- Monitor and interpret multiple airport monitoring systems and react to information received based on standard operating procedures
- Act as central point of contact for airport communications by monitoring radio channels and phone lines
- Operate CAD program to track events, determine appropriate responders and keep management and stakeholders informed
- Monitor events, record status and perform follow-up actions, escalating incomplete events as required
- Train new personnel on the job on an individual basis
- Review and process ad hoc requests from the airport community for action
