About this role
This role performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures. It follows established schedules, inspects and cleans equipment, and documents signs of wear and tear to recommend repair needs.
Day-to-day work involves major and minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures using multiple craft skills like plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. The technician diagnoses issues by operating equipment, reading blueprints, and utilizing hand tools, power tools, and hoists to access and replace defective parts.
Leading and participating in teams is central, where resources, information, and tools are shared to coordinate work assignments. This includes providing feedback, supporting timelines, and helping others adapt to new challenges while ensuring quality and compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
The role also develops and implements processes by collaborating with managers, co-workers, and customers. It involves analyzing information from multiple sources, monitoring progress, and identifying improvement opportunities to meet business needs.
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman Electrician certification or license
- Experience performing electrical repairs and preventive maintenance in industrial or commercial settings
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations and ability to ensure compliance
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, hoists, and diagnostic equipment
- Experience managing work orders, ordering parts, and tracking maintenance activities
- Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and repair equipment and fixture issues
Responsibilities

- Promote compliance with company policies, OSHA and EPA regulations, and standards of ethics and integrity
