About this role

Ramp Agents are responsible for providing ground support for inbound and outbound aircraft. This includes baggage handling, mail and freight handling, aircraft servicing, driving motorized equipment, and cleaning of aircraft interiors. The role ensures smooth operations across various airport locations.

Daily tasks involve loading and unloading passenger baggage, U.S. Mail, freight, and express parcels, transporting them to and from airport areas. Agents operate servicing equipment for electrical power, engine starts, lavatories, water service, and deicing where applicable. They also guide aircraft safely using visual, hand, verbal, and electronic communications.

Work occurs in a fast-paced airport environment with non-routine situations like weather delays, mechanical issues, and passenger assistance. Agents must cope with extreme climatic conditions including heat over 100 degrees, cold below 0, high winds, rain, ice, and snow. Safety of personnel, passengers, equipment, and aircraft remains the top priority at all times.
