The Airport Operations Coordinator role at Kos Airport is a fixed-term contract with possibility of extension. Ensure efficient airport operations and safety compliance daily.
Monitor allocation of aircraft parking stands, departure gates, check-in counters, and baggage belts for optimal resource use. Constantly track airport Air Traffic Control frequencies and notify internal shifts. Disseminate NOTAMs, weather data, forecasts, and signed Work Permits to relevant teams.
Implement actions from the Emergency Response Plan and Winter Operations Plan during crises. Handle contingency procedures for equipment failures. Maintain Daily Airport Log, provide VIP and state flight reports, and update corporate systems like AODB, SkyPort, and FIDs.

Requirements
- High School or Vocational Upper Secondary School Diploma
- One year of previous working experience in airfield (airside) operations or minimum of five years in the airport operational environment (airport, airlines, ground handlers)
- Excellent understanding of airport rules and regulations and aviation regulatory framework (EASA, ICAO, IATA, HCAA)
- Advanced level in MS Office
- Flight Dispatcher diploma/certification highly appreciated
- Fluency in Greek and English (oral and written at professional corporate level)
- Fulfilled Military Obligations (if appropriate)
- Collaborative attitude with high standards of accuracy, precision, focus on detail, ability to work under stress, problem-solving skills, flexibility, organizational skills, and customer focus
Responsibilities
- Monitor allocation of aircraft parking stands, departure gates, check-in counters, and baggage belts ensuring efficient utilization and safety compliance
- Monitor airport Air Traffic Control (ATC) frequencies constantly and notify internal shift functions
- Monitor valid published NOTAMs, actual weather data, and forecasts and disseminate accordingly
- Disseminate all signed Work Permits
- Ensure implementation of specific actions during emergencies as described in the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and Winter Operations Plan
- Ensure implementation of contingency procedures in case of equipment failures
- Provide reports for VIP and state flights
- Keep the Daily Airport Log updated with all required events and insert flight-related data into corporate systems (AODB, SkyPort, FIDs)
