About this role
This role performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures. Following established schedules and guidelines, you will inspect, clean, and repair facilities while documenting signs of wear and tear.
Major and minor repairs are completed by utilizing multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling equipment. You will diagnose issues by operating and testing equipment, dismantling parts, and using blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
Managing work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors is a key part of the position. You will complete written and electronic documentation, compare costs for parts and travel, order replacement equipment, and ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
Leading and participating in teams involves sharing resources, determining customer needs, and coordinating work assignments. You will provide advice and feedback to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved while modeling adaptability to new challenges.
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification
- Knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety standards (NEC, OSHA)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs
- Experience with preventive maintenance and repair of commercial/industrial facilities
- Multi-craft skills including plumbing, carpentry, and material handling equipment
- Familiarity with EPA regulations and environmental compliance requirements
