About this role
Responsible for overseeing and assisting in providing ground support for inbound and outbound aircraft. Duties include baggage handling, mail and freight handling, aircraft servicing, driving motorized equipment, and cleaning of aircraft interiors. This leadership role ensures efficient ramp operations.
Day-to-day tasks involve loading, unloading, and transporting passenger baggage, U.S. Mail, freight, and express parcels across airport locations. Operate various aircraft servicing equipment for electrical, engine start, lavatories, water service, and deicing. Provide safe guidance of aircraft using visual, hand, verbal, and electronic communications.
Work in a dynamic team environment handling multiple situations simultaneously, including early/late flights, weather delays, and passenger assistance. Must be safety oriented with personnel, passengers, equipment, and aircraft as top priority. Perform with minimal supervision in varied climatic conditions from extreme heat to cold.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas, complete accurate reports, and stay familiar with FAA/Airline/Company/Airport regulations. Project a positive image while responding courteously to clients, staff, and public inquiries. Attend meetings and keep supervisors informed of needs and problems.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with clear driving record
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to lift, stoop, squat, push, stand, bend, and repeatedly lift up to 70 lbs
- Able to work in extreme climatic conditions including heat over 100°F, cold below 0°F, high winds, rain, ice, and snow
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Must pass Criminal Background check
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English clearly

- Provide safe guidance of aircraft to and from parked areas, taxiways, and gates
- Push or tow aircraft to and from designated locations
- Thoroughly clean aircraft interiors, including turn and overnight as directed
- Pull computer work assignments, provision aircraft, and complete reports accurately
