The Aviation Safety Officer collaborates with the Director, Aviation Safety, to conduct investigations related to airport operations. Responsibilities include analyzing reported events and ensuring accurate documentation within the Safety and Quality Management System (QSMS).
Daily tasks involve receiving, analyzing, and documenting safety reports in the safety database, including risk assessments, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions. Ensure timely follow-up with employees who reported events, sharing analysis results and corrective measures. Maintain effective communication between the Aviation Safety department and airport operations teams.
Actively support and promote the Quality and Safety Policy within the assigned functional area. Prepare and distribute safety awareness bulletins to employees. Participate in Aviation Safety department meetings and the monthly Safety and Quality Management Committee (QSMC).

Requirements
- College or university degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in aviation, including at least three (3) years in ground or airport operations
- Experience with safety investigations, risk analysis and safety management systems; knowledge of ISAGO and IOSA standards is considered a strong asset
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trust and influence operational teams
- Demonstrated autonomy, analytical mindset, sound judgment and effective time and priority management
- Excellent proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and demonstrated ease with collaborative digital tools and AI solutions (e.g., Copilot)
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and systems (e.g., AIMS, safety databases)
- Oral and written fluency in French and English
Responsibilities
