This role oversees all aspects of facilities maintenance for the Eastern Region and spoke stations within our Technical Operations group.

You will manage planning efforts including project forecasting, budgeting, operations, service contracts, and space management. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring essential support systems like fire suppression, baggage handling, pre-conditioned air, kVAs, and jetbridges—available on-call 24/7/365.

As a company subject matter expert on building systems, you will develop annual capital and management plans, negotiate vendor maintenance contracts, and partner with Corporate Real Estate, Finance, and local airport authorities. You will lead a team across multiple work locations and collaborate closely with labor organizations under the Joint Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of leadership experience managing cross-departmental teams
  • Extensive experience in facilities operations and building systems management
  • Ability to secure U.S. Customs and Airport Authority credentials
  • On-call availability 24/7/365 for building system emergencies
  • Experience working with labor organizations and collective bargaining agreements
  • Proven ability to manage staff across multiple work locations
  • Ability to effectively handle shifting priorities within a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead all aspects of facilities maintenance for the Eastern Region and spoke stations
  • Manage planning efforts including project forecasting, budgeting, operations, service contracts, and space management
  • Monitor and prioritize projects to ensure essential support systems are functional
  • Act as subject matter expert on building systems including Fire Suppression, Baggage Handling, Pre-Conditioned Air, kVAs, and Jetbridges
  • Develop annual capital and management plans for each facility
  • Manage the Request For Proposal process and negotiate vendor maintenance service contracts
  • Partner with Corporate Real Estate, Finance, local Airport Authorities, and station management on projects and standards
  • Identify and achieve cost savings and efficiency opportunities through maximized utilization of suppliers
