About this role

This role directs heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and critical power maintenance and service operations across Walmart facilities. You will evaluate current and future projects, examine facility needs, and identify equipment to increase efficiency while directing temperature adjustments and analyzing system load requirements for energy reduction.

Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing execution of sustainability initiatives to meet Environmental Protection Agency compliance programs, managing complex projects by determining work assignment priority, and developing workforce and manpower needs. You will supervise work in progress, inspect completed assignments, create punch lists to document discrepancies, and ensure completion of projects and assignments.

As a leader, you will direct regional field operations by developing goals and direction, controlling maintenance costs, tracking facility scheduled preventive maintenance service completion, and monitoring contractor performance. You will also assist in district goal-setting and review progress on initiatives while ensuring financial sustainability by developing and approving budgets up to authorization spend for capital expenses and staff needs.

This position offers the opportunity to drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs, removing barriers that impact performance, and providing resources. You will develop contingency plans and demonstrate adaptability in a fast-paced environment focused on continuous improvement.

Requirements

Experience directing HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and critical power maintenance and service operations
Ability to evaluate facility needs and identify equipment to increase efficiency
Experience developing standard operating procedures and establishing facility maintenance inspections and preventive maintenance programs
Proven ability to manage complex projects and supervise work in progress
Experience developing and managing department budgets, including capital expenses and staff compensation
Knowledge of federal, state, and local HVAC and refrigeration industry laws, regulations, and guidelines
Ability to drive execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs
Experience monitoring contractor performance and ensuring landlord compliance with lease agreements

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local HVAC and refrigeration industry laws, regulations, and guidelines
